HBOS

The Trust joined with the Bank of Scotland and SFA in the Midnight Leagues programme. This involves young people aged 12 to 16 in 5-a –side evening football evening  to divert them from other temptations towards healthy exercise. In 2007 leagues ran in 17 locations and involved 900. The value of HBOS sponsorship in support of coalfields leagues is over £50k p.a.

Shell

During 2007-2008, staff from Shell have conducted two team challenges brokered in CRT supported projects in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. A garden project and the refurbishment of a community hall were completed with 41 staff involved in one and 25 in the other.

Thomsons Solicitors

This company now providing free legal advice supplied by one of their partners on a regular basis on Saturday mornings at Coalburn One Stop Shop in South Lanarkshire. The service is aimed at individuals or local voluntary groups.

BskyB

Following two “Seeing is Believing” visits in West Lothian and Fife/Clackmannanshire BSkyB set up a number of supportive connections with CRT projects including;
- Two Team Challenges have refurbished the premises of one project, and is providing the proceeds from a fund raising event at Sky. At the other a garden area has been landscaped and built for elderly sufferers of dementia
- Projects are receiving cash from Sky employees payroll giving scheme, Sky Senior Manager has joined the board of Livingston Training Centre and donations of equipment and funds from the site charity budgets are being made to projects.
