Partnership Working Case Studies

Fife Partnership

The CRT has made good progress in aligning itself as a partner sitting on Fife Regeneration Outcome Agreements Programme Board. The Board has a variety of representatives from voluntary and statutory agencies, including Communities Scotland, whose role to date has largely centred on allocation of Community Regeneration Funding and the performance and financial monitoring of initiatives supported by it.

Clackmannanshire Alliance

A close working relationship has developed between Clackmannanshire Alliance Officials and CRT, work includes sharing intelligence, planning and development.  This partnership has simplified the development of productive funding applications and packages, enabling the community to deliver projects that add value to regeneration activities in the most deprived areas of Clackmannanshire.

East Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership

At an early stage where the Community Planning Partnership Manager, took a proposal to the East Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership board that the Coalfields Regeneration Trust be invited to take part in board activities. As full board member the CRT is now represented at all board meeting and other activities, such as training sessions for board members. This arrangement means that The Coalfield Regeneration Trust is kept fully aware of the strategy of the Community Planning Partnership in relation to the Ayrshire coalfield and they in turn are fully informed projects and developments, which meet the CRT’s local plan for the area.

North Lanarkshire Community Planning Partnership

Links with the Community Planning Partnership have been limited because the contacts that have been made have yet to materialise into a way of working together and this is a challenge to improve this during the course of the next year.
