CLS provides backing for DRAMA scheme progress

The Coalfields DRAMA scheme has been awarded a grant of £5,000 from the Community Legal Service Development Fund, to assist in the development of the DRAMA scheme, primarily in South Wales Coalfield areas. The development project, which is being jointly funded by the CRT DRAMA scheme budget, will target those areas that are not currently participating in the scheme, through the employment of part-time Training & Development worker leading to an improvement in sign-posting of those needing information and advice.

Social enterprises in the former coalfield areas of Wales are benefiting from a £1.4m scheme that provides a package of various levels of grant funding combined with professional support, guidance and training.

Coalfields Social Enterprise Development Scheme

Coalfields Social Enterprise Development Scheme is a fund to promote and develop the social economy in designated Coalfield areas of Wales. The scheme is an Objective 1 Project, match funded by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust. This scheme seeks to encourage the regeneration of local communities through assisting in the growth of the Social Economy.

A programme of practically-based ‘hands on’ learning in regeneration.

Recruiting Now! The Regen School toolkit for regeneration

The course which has made Regen School Famous! The programme consists of a blend of different components, which help participants develop skills and knowledge (‘or tools’) they need to make their project ideas work. The course consists of mentoring, workshops and residential days.

20 bursary places are available for this pilot intake and we are now recruiting!

Welsh Coalfields Bond launched in London

The Welsh Coalfields Bond is a Social Investment Bond developed by Social Investment charity Citylife in partnership with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust. It aims to liberate the creative and cultural talent of former coalfields are of Wales.
