The Family Employment Initiative (FEI) offers a range of bespoke recruitment services to suit the needs of your business at no cost to you the employer.
All the staff working on the project have an excellent knowledge of the local labour market, are professional, experienced and are vocationally qualified to work with adults from a variety of differing skills and backgrounds. This Coalfields Regeneration Trust initiative is a completely hassle free way to recruit staff.
We offer the following free services for your business:

- Application, sifting job matching & assessment
- Advice on free training that may be available
- One point of contact throughout the process
- An aftercare services for new employees moving in to work to aid retention
What we can do for you and your business:
Advertising Vacancies
- Vacancies will be advertised via your local Family Employment Initiative office as well as through our partner organisations. Advisors work with training partners, children’s centres and local adult education centres who display our vacancies.
- Your vacancy will be promoted to jobseekers registered with the Family Employment Initiative.
- You receive our free recruitment administration service. We send out and collect completed application forms, CV’s and arrange times for suitable candidates for you to interview at your convenience.
Application Sifting, Screening and Job Matching
- Application sifting, screening and matching experience and skills to suit your requirements
- Ensuring that the clients are work ready with the relevant skills, experience and attributes to suit your vacancy and your organisation
- Assessments or ability tests such as administration or IT can be arranged.
In Work Mentoring
- We offer an aftercare service for newly recruited workers and employers to aid the retention of new employees
- Assist new employees with financial help for bus fares, etc. until their first payday
- Act as a liaison between the employer and the employee to address any initial worries or concerns
