The opening a new £500,000 state of the art Training and Enterprise Hub within Kincardine is a ‘game changing moment’ for the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, which, for almost 20 years, has been supporting and improving the life of the half-a-million people who live in Scotland’s coalfields communities.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust has invested £250,000 of its own funds to buy and renovate the former Clydesdale Bank Building in Kirk Street in Kincardine, with Fife Council and the Scottish Government providing matched funding allocated (in September 2016) from the Scottish Government Local Economic Development Capital Stimulus Grant Fund.

The organisation’s ten-strong staff team will also be based in the new Coalfields Hub building, divided into skills-orientated teams, to help tackle the devastating loss of jobs and economic benefits from the closure of Kincardine Power Station.
