Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join The Coalfields Regeneration Trust and play a pivotal role in the delivery of our employment service in South Yorkshire. As part of our Community Programmes Team you will engage with individuals who require bespoke support to help them find work, access training or build their skills through volunteering.

The employment service is delivered in a flexible way through one to one appointments or group sessions such as job clubs. You will lead on all aspects of delivery in your target area; exploring new business development opportunities; expanding the programme; building relationships with stakeholders; growing new partnerships and communicating the impact of the activities.

You will be experienced in the provision of information, advice and guidance, highly motivated and demonstrate a good working knowledge of the welfare system. The post requires flexibility and will involve lone working at times. The Coalfields Regeneration Trust has child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adult’s policies in place and the post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check and references.

Organisation Profile

At the Coalfields Regeneration Trust our ambition is to champion and strengthen coalfield communities, generate resources to respond to their needs and deliver programmes that make a positive and lasting difference. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for the 5.5 million people living in former mining towns and villages. We are proud of our track record over the last 20 years and have delivered targeted programmes that have addressed many of the huge challenges caused by the closure of the coal industry.

The scale of the challenges impacting on our communities is significant and far reaching and we recognise that we cannot work alone. We will continue to work in partnership across all coalfield areas with national government, local authorities, the third and private sectors wherever practical. With this support and partnership approach we know we can make a life changing difference to our communities so that they can make a positive contribution to social and economic performance of the UK.
