YORKSHIRE CYCLING EVENT HAS COALFIELDS AT THE HEARTPosted: 9 months ago
As the only organisation dedicated to supporting the 5.5m people living in former mining towns and villages throughout Britain, improving their health and wellbeing is one of our three main priorities.
To do this, we cannot work alone. We need to build strategic partnerships with other organisations that share our values and promotes a healthier and better standard of living.
So, we are really excited to announce our latest partnership with the Heart of Yorkshire Sportive 2017. Here up to 500 cyclists will carry our message on their heart as we feature our logo on their race jersey.
Organised by the Yorkshire Mafia and Everyone Everywhere Events, the event allows participants and spectators to come together to get fit, network, share experience and take in the beautiful landscape that Yorkshire offers.
Not only will this fantastic opportunity allow us to be associated with an event that promotes a healthy, active lifestyle and demonstrates the fun of cycling, but it will also showcase the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to hundreds of people across the region.
Taking place on Sunday 4th June, riders of all cycling abilities are expected to come together to take on the 100km course. Starting at the First Direct Arena in Leeds from 7:30am, riders will race to the geographical Heart of Yorkshire in Hessay and back.
We’re extremely excited for race day, a huge thank you to the Yorkshire Mafia and Everyone Everywhere Events for letting us be involved and the very best of luck to all the cyclists that are taking part.
