Coalfields Investment Fund (ASK)

Our proposal is to create a new £40m fund for the coalfields. This fund will be used to deliver investment in the form of new industrial and commercial property, suitable for new and growing SME businesses in coalfield locations where growth is desperately needed.

We are looking for a commitment of £30 million – £10 million per year across three years – from government and we will source the balance of the required £40 million funding; £3 million CRT capital and £7 million bank funding
