Regenerating Towns – A well-being economy approach

Tredegar case study

Tredegar like so many Valleys towns faces significant challenges with only 57% economically active, 44% without any qualifications, 16% on long term illness etc. However, Tredegar is a high profile town with a rich industrial past and is particularly notable for its connection to Aneurin Bevan and the birth of the NHS.

CRT has long recognised that the foreign investment and general inward investment model of the economy has not had any significant impact on the regeneration of towns like Tredegar.
