Role

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust in Wales is seeking a motivated person who is passionate about the regeneration of former coalfield communities. If you are you interested in a role which is flexible, challenging and rewarding then this may be the role for you.

We are seeking an individual to join our Wales team who has experience of partnership working, enterprise development, community development and a detailed knowledge and understanding of the issues facing coalfield communities.  You will be responsible for supporting priority regeneration projects and helping to strengthen voluntary organisations through a range of measures across the former coalfield communities in Wales. A key priority for the role is assisting in the protection of community assets and services.

The role will require you to be flexible with occasional evening work and very occasional weekend work, you will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and manage your own workload effectively.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is the UK’s leading regeneration agency dedicated to the former coalfields.  Since 1999, we have invested over £300 million in diverse projects and in house programmes that have impacted positively on over 2 million people.  We are increasingly taking a proactive approach to developing and investing in strategic programmes to address regeneration issues and pride ourselves in how we work with communities. We have a constituency of supporting groups and partners which places us in a unique position to help communities develop community regeneration projects.
