Community is at the heart of what we do at the Coalfields Regeneration Trust. We work with partners to improve the lives of people living in coalfield communities so they can reach their full potential.
Almost one in ten people in coalfield communities are in poor health. We help people living in coalfields to improve their health so they can get the most out of their lives.
Almost one in five people in coalfield communities are economically inactive. We work with those furthest from the labour market to give them the foundation level skills they need to create a brighter future.
There are fewer local jobs based in coalfield communities. Our CRT Property subsidiary builds industrial units for SMEs to create the jobs needed in coalfield communities and generates most of the funding for our work.
Coalfield communities can play a positive role in tackling the climate crisis. The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is committed to playing it’s part in limiting the impact on our climate and our planet.
