CRT Support

CRT Support is our free membership programme which provides the building blocks to allow your community organisation to thrive.

CRT Support acts as a trusted friend to help your organisation grow by helping you access funding, training and the latest information. You’ll also join a network of more than six hundred organisations working in former coalfield communities across Britain.

Joining CRT Support means we can also use our joint knowledge, experience and connections to provide a powerful voice for our communities and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups based in the former coalfields.

The one to one support offered by our Regional Development Managers includes:

Funding Support – As well as access to our own CRT Support grants, we can help you get the most out of your fundraising, help you search for funding and give constructive feedback on your applications.

The latest data – CRT Support can access the most up to date statistics – sharing with you a detailed report showing the needs in your area – to help you build the best funding bid possible.

Building a strong network – Our CRT Support programme is shaped by organisations like yours telling us what you need. CRT Support holds a number of information events so you can share best practice by meeting other groups in your area which are facing the same challenges and opportunities as you. We also want to work in partnership with others or support the development of new partnerships that work for the benefit of our communities.

Training – We’re always keeping up to date with the latest guidance, information and developments in the charity sector. CRT Support has a full range of training programmes developed in response to the needs of our member organisations – whatever your issue we’ll always do our best to help!

Our Partners – CRT Support is developing partnerships with like-minded organisations who share our values and offer services that benefit our members. We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Workers Educational Association (WEA) who offer adult education opportunities for members’ staff, volunteers and beneficiaries,  Utility Aid who are helping our members reduce their energy costs and with Cranfield Trust who offer free business support for charities
